November 2021 Musings... 29th November 2021…I’m getting excited about my plans for 2022! Regular visitors may recall, I spend about 2 months of the year deciding how I will navigate the other 10. It’s my “hibernation” period and runs from Samhain to the Winter Solstice/New Year. I usually begin by reflecting on the previous 10 months and gaining a perspective that helps me appreciate my progress. I look at the challenges and setbacks, and consider what I learnt. And I wait for the 24-carat ideas that will inspire my future to come to me! This hibernation period has been really creative for me. I feel like I’ve been sowing seeds of possibility every day, and building up a sense of my direction for 2022. I don’t know if everyone runs their life like it’s a business – but I certainly feel like between Samhain and Winter Solstice, I “do my accounts” for my life! When I set out my strategy for the future. I never set anything in stone; I always leave enough space for the Universe to guide me, and enough space for me to respond by adapting my dance through the days to express those sacred shifts. Anyway…to help you with your plans, let’s explore the constantly evolving energetic influences through the medium of the tarot. We’ll be looking at the currents we can tap into and use to our benefit over the coming week. And I hope you’ll get some ideas and inspiration for how you might best capitalise on them to progress your healing journey. I’ve chosen the Tarot of Mystical Moments for today’s musings… The dominant energetic tide that we can tap this week, with a view to progressing spiritual growth and promoting wholeness, is the High Priestess. This resonates strongly with Mayastar this week because the current special offer is for the Ocean of Intuition 3rd Eye Activation – which perfectly suits this card! The High Priestess energy reminds us to connect with our intuition and be open to guidance from the Universe. (Read my article 5 Ways to Increase Your Intuition). Your intuition allows you to stay connected to the spiritual aspects of life in order to receive feedback, guidance and insight on a subtle level. This week, listen to your intuition! If you get “good-vibes” or “bad feelings” about something, entertain the idea that your intuition is trying to communicate an important message to you. The card that represents the opposition we are most likely to face this week is the 10 of Wands. This card expresses that point where you’ve transitioned from being on top of your game, to being a bit overwhelmed by it all! Be careful not to overcommit yourself this week because burnout’s a possibility! If you can, it’s a good idea to set aside a day for doing nothing. And if you can’t set a whole day aside, how about setting aside an hour to do nothing each day? When that window of time for doing nothing comes around, you may find you prefer to meditate, do a few yoga stretches, read a book, or take a nap. You’re connected by blood, love, and spirit. Spending time in nature or with animals would be great ways to bring the blessings of the 10 of Pentacles into your life today! Wednesday 1st December 2021…King of Pentacles. The King of Pentacles energy tells us that yesterday’s earthiness is still with us. Today, tapping into grounding frequencies will help you to integrate inspiration & come up with great ideas. You have the determination & diligence to make things happen today. The challenge will be to listen to your intuition, while keeping yourself rooted. Thursday 2nd December 2021…Wheel of Fortune. Things are about to take a turn for the better. Good fortune, abundance & happiness abound! Align with the Universe by setting out positive affirmations & inspire yourself with optimistic thoughts. What you’re putting out is returning to you. Mindfully sowing seeds of love & light will bring a rewarding harvest. Friday 3rd December 2021…3 of Pentacles. In matters of practicality, two heads are better than one today. The Universe can impart important guidance through those around us, so pay attention to input, ideas & information! If you’re seeking support or help with a new project, learning something new, or seeking the advice of an expert will strengthen your position. Your progress is assured! Saturday 4th December 2021…7 of Swords. This card recommends you to do things differently today. You are the sacred rebel! The promise of new possibilities can be unlocked by bucking the trend, flipping the script, or changing your mind. Do something you didn’t expect yourself to do today and you’ll be growing and glowing before the day’s out! Sunday 5th December 2021… King of Swords. Integrity comes from doing what’s right, even if no-one’s watching. It also comes from saying what’s right, even if no- one’s listening. Guard against nasty, negative and nihilistic words whether they’re spoken out-loud or to yourself in your mind. Awakening the King of Swords within allows you replace them with proclamations of progress, prosperity and peace. I hope today’s visit finds you enjoying the deep healing potential of the recent lunar eclipse. For me, this week the celestial energies aligned perfectly with my menstrual cycle and the scheduled start of a new Killing Moon Karmic Reversal 30-Day Ritual Intensive, which is always excellent for potent magick! Accordingly, I’ve spent a lot of extra time in The Temple where I’m working on new rituals, and enhancing aspects of existing ones. My spells and workings are dynamic in that they evolve over time. The more I work with them, the more I am able to perfect and refine the process. The flow of the dance becomes increasingly powerful over time as it becomes more and more a part of me. Once those workings reach the point that there’s no separation between me and the energy I’m channelling, I extend the opportunity for energetic re-weaving, and shaping for magickal change to my customers. You can always be assured the spells and rituals I perform for you have been perfected and enhanced through hours of dedicated practice! My temple work is always an adventure for me and my clients, so this period of intensive work has been been deeply inspirational. But today, we’re here to explore the energetic influences we can expect to encounter over the next 7 days. Today I’ve chosen to work with the Ceccoli Tarot. I adore the art-style – but this deck has been put together perfectly from pre- existing artwork in my opinion! It includes depth, darkness and humour; it’s cute and sweet, and kinda twisted at the same time. I always resonate strongly with these cards! Let’s explore… First impressions for this week’s reading are “Wow!” and a quick burst of my happy dance! The dominant energies that we can tap into this week for the purpose of enhancement, enlightenment, and energy- work are reflected in the King of Pentacles. This was the final card of last week’s spread so it looks like those energies are set to continue and gain potency over the coming days. The King of Pentacles in this deck expresses the Taurus energy, which was tied to the lunar-eclipse on the 19th. So this is confirmation that the portal of the lunar- eclipse (which was the longest in 580 years!) is still making waves and providing us with new opportunities. This energy may be translated into security, home, warmth and strengthened family connections. It may also provide opportunities to connect with our ancestors on a deeper level for spiritual support and guidance. If you’ve been feeling a bit unsettled, these earth-centred energies can help you to find some stability and grounding. The good news is only just beginning! Because the card that represents the shadow-energies that are most influential right now indicates there’s nothing for us to be concerned about energetically this week! In fact, this might be the best week for starting something new, making a wish, or elevating your goals. There’s more possible in this universe right now than you’re giving it credit for! Things could turn out so much better than you’re imagining! This is the power and potential of the 9 of Cups. It is one of my favourite cards in all decks because it reminds us that the only thing stopping you, is your belief in your limitations. Make a wish with an open heart & it could very well manifest in ways that surpass your hope. The universe doesn’t share your limiting beliefs. So if you can find the courage, curiosity, and confidence to step out of your comfort zone a little, you might be blown away by the doors a little self-belief can open for you this week. Monday 22nd November – Strength – This Strength card conveys a different aspect of Strength to that reflected in the traditional tarot. This card is more about not allowing obstacles to derail our plans but retain our focus and determination. Don’t be afraid to exercise your rights and maintain your boundaries by saying “no” to things you don’t want to do today. You’re in the driving seat of your life today, so it’s an excellent day for seeing to business, getting things done, and finding solutions & strategies to any problems you’ve been keeping on a back-burner lately. Tuesday 23rd November – 5 of Swords – This card indicates potential sources of stress, aggravation, and conflict today. This card guides us to be careful about what we say or do in response to those difficult emotions because acting rashly will lead to recrimination and regret. If you have to spend time around someone who antagonises your energy today, focusing on keeping your energy-field protected can help you to avoid some of that energetic clash. Archangel Gabriel’s Empath Encoding, Violet Flame, or Dark Moon Mother Protection would all be good options. Wednesday 24th November – Page of Swords – This card relates to the Runic Pillar of Thornaz for me. It reflects the path of spiritual growth, evolution, and learning through experience. Be open to inspiration from your higher-self today because guidance to progress your spiritual path is in the offing. This may come through ideas, feelings, dreams or visions – so make sure you pay attention! Sometimes we resist the gaining of wisdom because we’re too busy looking outside of ourselves for answers, so today, inquire within. Thursday 25th November – The Lovers – Today could be the day for romance! But it could also be the day for connecting with friends and family, or sharing a deep experience with someone you love. Our relationships with those around us deepen according to our level of self-love, so remember to extend your kindness, compassion and attention to yourself too. Love prospers all today so don’t keep it all to yourself! Friday 26th November – The Empress – This is the card of the Creatrix! For me, this card links with the Goddess Yemaya. She is the Great Mother Goddess of the ocean, and she can help us to connect with our intuition and spiritual gifts. If your spider-senses are tingling today, but you’re not sure exactly where you’re being guided, getting yourself into water, or meditating on the element of water will help you find clarity. If you’re still feeling a little fragile after Tuesday’s potential challenges, a soothing salt-bath could clear your energy and restore your balance. Saturday 27th November – The Magician – Today could go either way! If you use your skills, this day will be productive and meaningful. But you need to keep your wits about you because other people may have different ideas. Be careful not to get swept up in someone else’s agenda today. There could be misunderstandings through making assumptions; but there could also be manipulation or deception at play. So maintain healthy boundaries by staying out of drama! Instead, focus your intention on staying in your lane, and staying true to yourself. Sunday 28th November – The Page of Wands – This card can bring a riot of fun and frivolity! Aligning with this archetype means exploring your passions and doing what you love today. If you haven’t done your happy dance this week, today’s the day for exactly that! Allow yourself to experience pleasure in small things today and soon you’ll find those small things have stacked up to become a mountain of pure joy! Tuesday 16th November Card of the Day: The Ace of Swords indicates that the universe is communicating with you through new ideas and a shift in your thinking. Be open to the possibilities and ready to try out something radically different. If you’ve lacked self-belief in the past, maybe now is the time to say “I’m done with being small”. Allowing yourself to take up some space in this world will renew your confidence and allow you to be who you came here to be. Wednesday 17th November Card of the Day: The Ace of Wands indicates great opportunities for success in all areas today! The Ace of Wands card tells you to seize the day because if you do, the universe will be right there with you and backing you all the way! When you act in accordance with your passionate heart, the spiritual aspect of the universe rushes to join you and support you in your ambitions and endeavours. Feel the power of a well-made choice today! Thursday 18th November Card of the Day: The Queen of Swords can be a bit withdrawn and cold. For me, this card connects with the energy of Hel: Norse Goddess of the Underworld. She is depicted as half black and half white and is sometimes called “The Piebald Goddess”. You can connect with this energy today by considering difficult and painful experiences of the past, and how they enabled you to become stronger. Thinking on the past too much isn’t a good habit! But taking the time to remind yourself of challenges you’ve overcome can boost your faith in yourself. Spend some time in meditation today if you get the chance. Friday 19th November Card of the Day: The Seven of Swords is giving us a warning! Someone around you, or someone you encounter today, isn’t being honest with you. They may try to manipulate you with half- truths, or they may insult you with all- deception. Be cautious and keep your energy protected by maintaining healthy boundaries. Good energy healing modalities to keep your defences up to scratch are: Light Sanctuary Activation and Dark Moon Mother Protection. Saturday 20th November Card of the Day: The Devil isn’t always a negative card, but because of its proximity to yesterday’s warning, it’s currently in shadow. This card warns you about trusting and relying on the wrong people. Allowing others’ influence to trump your own intuition leads to catastrophe, energy blocks, and disillusionment. You have the strength to maintain your independent spirit. You just need to believe in yourself, even if you’re around people who don’t believe in you. It may not be easy at first, but you’re a sovereign spiritual soul. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Sunday 21st November Card of the Day: The King of Pentacles brings a beautiful sense of accomplishment, satisfaction, and security to the end of the week. It’s time to sit back and relax! It also gives me a chance to work with the new spread I’ve created specifically for these readings. Life has settled into pure cosiness as the nights draw in and mercury descends. I’m spending more time on writing and art as I make up for all the creative inspiration I had to keep on a back burner during my website redevelopment work this year. I’m currently choreographing new TS Rituals too. I tend to make these available by invitation only to start with - a new dance ritual takes to longer to perform, so I have to work with it a while to see how it will flow. But it’s invigorating to be indulging in the most spiritually nourishing aspects of my work right now. XXXX 10th November 2021…Having a lazy morning after some intense magickal activity last night! Almost halfway through the Samhain Portal Yggdrasil Intensive, and clients participating in this 24-day ritual have completed the first aett of the Elder Futhark. I’m participating in the Yggdrasil Intensive for my own magickal practice this year too. For me, it’s an opportunity for integration of work I’ve completed over the last 3 or 4 years – and I’m feeling the potency of the runes in new ways! Although I don’t use the runes for divination now, they are the foundation of my magickal practice in many ways. No matter where my studies and curiosity lead me, I always return to the runes to assimilate new knowledge! Now, let’s turn our attention within…it’s time to tap into our intuition and seek some guidance from the universe about how we might best navigate the coming days in order to make optimal use of the current energetic tides. I’ve chosen the Prisma Visions Tarot for today’s musings. It suits my mood because for me, this deck aligns with the Valkryie/Seidkona archetype, and that’s where my energy is most authentically expressed at this time of year. Let’s explore… Oooh! I like these vibes! The principle energy we can tap into right now is the 7 of Chalices (Cups). In this position we’re looking at the positive aspects of this card. It recommends us to be open to our imagination and creativity because the universe has guidance for us, but we really need to feel our way into it. If you enjoy creating art, indulging yourself in craft work, or occasionally daydreaming your way through the veil and into the hidden realms, now’s a good time to work with whatever techniques inspire you the most! At this time of year, I gravitate to darker imagery in my readings, and the Nightmare Before Christmas vibes are really strong in this deck! It’s a seasonal favourite. Let’s explore… The principle progressive energy we can tap into over the coming days is reflected in the 9 of Wands. This card is about protecting your energy and establishing your boundaries. This card recommends us to stay grounded in the coming days because there are liable to be challenges to your equilibrium from people around you. Complications, confusion, and miscommunication could result! This card reminds us not to overreact or get caught up in petty drama, disagreements, or all-out fights! If you’re feeling a bit “reactive” or emotional, now might be a good time to dedicate a little extra time to self-care and relaxation. Remember that it’s perfectly ok for other people to disagree with you. Agreeing to disagree is likely to be a healthier response than debate over the next few days.
