__________________________________ February 2022 Musings... 28th February 2022…Welcome to Maya Muses! Every week, I select a tarot deck from my extensive collection, and draw cards on behalf of the collective to elucidate the current energetic influences, & illuminate opportunities for those seeking to progress their spiritual growth and healing. These readings are intended to inspire & uplift you, so take what resonates with you, and leave the rest behind. Today’s mystical musings are drawn from the Everyday Witch Tarot. Let’s explore… The dominant energy we can tap into for the purpose of pursuing our spiritual selves & aligning with authenticity & attraction, is reflected in the Page of Wands. This is a card of new beginnings, setting out on adventures & sometimes, getting a bit carried away with the excitement of it all! What ever’s new in your life, wherever your attention & passion is currently invested, this week promises support from the Universe in achieving your goals. But the Page isn’t an expert. He has all the enthusiasm, but may need to develop some skills. Do you need to learn something new to support your ambitions? Have you made the right preparations & plans? Your energy will take you a long way, but make sure you attend to the practicalities too. Your chances of success this week are looking promising! The next card looks at the potential opposition we may face in accessing the blessings of the first card. Today, this is the Death card. This doesn’t mean we may not achieve success because we might actually die! The Death card is about change & transformation. And in its shadowed position, it’s telling us that the thing that might block us from progressing this week could come from parts of the past that we need to move on from, but haven’t. This could be a limiting belief that inspires self- doubt or erodes your self-esteem. It could be a bad habit that distracts you from your intentions, & saps your energy. But the implication with the Death card, is that it’s something you’re ready to move on from but haven’t consciously released yet. Affirm: “Thank you!” 21st February 2022…It’s been a magickal time here at Mayastar this week. After losing Charlie, my senior Chihuahua last autumn, I was waiting for the time when a new pack member would join my happy home. And the magickal day arrived on the 14th February when “Alfie Bonbons” joined us! Alfie’s 7 months old – so he’s bringing a bit of chaos with him just now! But he’s already made friends with the rest of the pack & his training’s going really well considering he’s only been here a week. He’s also demonstrated a love for music and dance – so I think he’ll be really happy here! I believe all animals have an affinity for magick & and the spiritual planes, but for me, Chihuahuas are in a league of their own. The ancient Aztecs & Toltecs believed Chis were mystical dogs & that they had the power to bring healing. I really believe that. I consider my fur-babies the “love batteries” of the home. They get charged up with cuddles & kisses, then run around in all the corners to ensure an even distribution of good vibes. And they help me out in the temple sometimes too! Gold coloured Chis were considered to be spiritual guides that were able to lead the soul to its right place after death. Montezuma had a pack of 100 golden Chis that he took into battle with him in case the worst should happen. I definitely still feel Charlie around since he crossed the rainbow bridge & I bet he’s reaching out to Alfie to impart some of his pack-wisdom as I write. Check it out here… Additionally, the Special Offers for this week are the Pleiadian Orb of Resonance & the Celestial Encodings 1-9, both of which were channelled by me through the light-beings that originate trans-dimensionally in the location of Alcyone: the principal star of the Pleiadian system. Pleiadians have a strong connection to us because on the 21st Dec 2012, Alcyone, the primary star of the Pleiadian system, entered a dark area of the Milky Way called “The Tree” along with our sun. When this convergence happened, opportunities for accelerated spiritual growth & deeper connection to the Star People (another name for Pleiadians) were initiated. This transition was the beginning of a New Age: The Age of Aquarius. As more people wake up to their spiritual nature, explore energy work & healing & find their connection to the celestial tides that move & inspire us, the earth and humanity as a whole ascend in consciousness. This accelerated path of planetary ascension can be a joyful experience for those who consciously choose to align with the spiritual evolution of the Universe, by pursuing their own evolution. I’ve chosen the Tarot of the Little Prince today…let’s explore… The dominant energy we can tap into this week for the purpose of progressing the healing journey & supporting our spiritual growth is represented by The Wheel. This card indicates a change in fortune & in conjunction with the other cards in the reading suggests an upswing in happiness & contentment. Great things can happen when you align with the possibility that great things can happen. Keep your options open by optimising your optimism & hustling your hope. Things can’t change for the better if you don’t believe they can! Sometimes our thoughts reinforce our limitations without us noticing. This week, try to be mindful of negative self-talk & don’t invest your energy into ideas, beliefs or activities that shut you down, quash your inspiration or diminish your shine. The Universe removes obstacles from your path when you determine your destination. 14th February 2022…Welcome to Maya Muses! Every week, I select a deck from my extensive Tarot collection, & consult with the Universe on behalf of the Collective. My readings provide guidance & inspiration for every day of the week. These messages are intended to support & encourage those on a healing or spiritual development path. I also keep you up to date with changes, updates & new offers for Mayastar Academy & Maya Magickal Spells; and keep you up to date with what I’m doing too! Things got off to a flying start for me this year. I always set myself a number of tasks for the year – things that need doing but aren’t urgent such as painting the hall, replacing the fence & updating the Valkyrie rituals I’ll be working with this year. And, I’m pleased to say, I’ve completed all but two of the tasks for the year within the 6 weeks of the year! That’s a good feeling. I look forward to coasting a little bit & focusing on my poetry projects, ritual writing & tarot magick! Last year I had very few items on the to-do list for the year, but some of them (like redeveloping the Mayastar, Maya Magickal & Maya Muses websites) were tasks that would take months, even with time allocated to them every day! I love all aspects of my work – but that was definitely one of the more challenging things I’ve done. I could put in some really intensive focus & dedicate my time diligently, but it took so long to see any progress. But perhaps it was a valuable lesson. Something really important in magick is not getting caught up focusing on the outcome, & redeveloping the websites felt a bit like that! However, it was worth all the hard work in the end! For 2022 I’ve also adjusted my morning meditation schedule. I used to meditate first thing, but this year, I changed that to an “after-breakfast” meditation routine. And I’m taking my morning meditation outside so I can spend time with my tree. He’s an oak and is developing quite a joyful personality as he grows. I like to connect deeply with the trees in my garden so that whenever I’m performing home-magick, my garden is also covered! So far, daily outdoor meditation has been beautiful & spiritually nourishing. I’m thinking of getting an insulated cup and taking my bulletproof coffee out with me so I can watch the sun come up. I’ve felt drawn to work with different energy healing modalities during my morning practice too. In particular, the Solar Goddess Radiance energy & some of the animal energies from Lightworker Animal Empowerments. In recent artistic transmutations you’ll have seen the fox, swan & butterfly! And with that potent connection to animal energies in the mix, I was drawn to the White Sage Tarot for today’s reading. Let’s explore… The dominant energy influencing us over the coming week, that we can tap into for the purpose of progressing the spiritual journey & aligning with our authenticity, is reflected in the 6 of Pentacles. This is the card of prosperity & plenty. It’s presence reminds you that you have all that you need in a practical sense. If you have water to drink, clothes to wear & food to eat, half the battle is won. 1 in 3 people globally don’t have access to safe drinking water. But if you’ve always had it, sometimes you forget to appreciate it. Focusing on the blessings already present in your life can help you to connect with new possibilities. When your mind is looking at solutions, it stops inappropriately focusing on problems & generating so much anxiety & speculation about the future. That’s not to say problems vanish, but it does make it possible to see some problems as challenges or opportunities. And this week, you’re in a good position! The next card looks at the potential opposition we may face in harnessing the promises of the first card. Today, this is represented by the 5 of Swords. This card indicates the greatest threat to success we face this week comes in the form of our mental attitudes. Inner conflict, worry or anxiety can create blocks to seeing new opportunities. The thoughts we feed keep growing. Sometimes, the best way to stop the cycle of negative thinking is to spend time in meditation so that you learn to identify your thoughts as separate from your essential nature & stop reinforcing them so much! Another way can be to identify a negative thought, and reframe it. For example, a thought like “I don’t know what will happen in life so I can’t prepare myself for it” might become “I don’t know what will happen in life. It could be terrible. It could be amazing. It’s most likely going to be a mixed bag. But I can prepare myself by learning to control my thoughts. Smile & the Universe smiles with you today. 7th February 2022…I’m enjoying a luxurious & relaxing lull in activity after a few nights of intense magickal activity! This week’s spell-casting extravaganza rounded off beautifully with a Melusine Dance of Mystery & Magick ritual and it’s one of my favourites to work. Connecting with the Goddess is always a sacred time; but some archetypes resonate more strongly with us at different times in our lives. And for me, Melusine has been a close companion & powerful ally in recent years. This year, I’m planning to work more closely with Hel & with Valkyrie energy in my personal ritual & magickal work - but l will definitely be scheduling regular rituals with Melusine too. I went into 2022 not sure what direction spirit would be leading me, but during January things really crystallised and I’m feeling inspired & excited about this year!
