And here, I select a tarot deck each week from my extensive collection to elucidate the ethers, and scry the shifting celestial tides on behalf of the collective. This deck features the traditional tarot scenes and meanings but with Dame Darcy’s imaginative filter expressing them as mermaids in an oceanic wonderland. Although the archetypes are aligned with the original Rider Waite system, the watery, fun and magical energy expressed helps me to connect with Lemurian energy so it’s a deck I reach for often! I’m sure it will be a powerful translator of the numinous for us. I also like the fact that this deck doesn’t shy from some darker themes – because although with these readings, I’m very much focused on the positive aspects of the cards, darker decks can sometimes help us to explore the shadowed aspects of the archetypes and the experiences they represent.
