PREVIOUS NEXT 21st February 2026…Welcome back to the blog! And to my first post since the start of the Chinese New Year! This year is the year of the Fire Horse - a powerful year for progress and growth if you choose to tap into these currents. Wherever you want to see that progress is where you need to direct your energy this year. So if you want to see success and happiness in relationships, you need to prioritise your friendships and connections; if you want to see growth in your business or financial success, you need to allocate your time so that you put your energy into that; and if you want to progress your path to wholeness, this year is the time to focus on optimising your practices and routines so that they will support your ascension. This year, I celebrated the Chinese New Year with a new habit! I switched my morning coffee for matcha tea. Matcha is made from powdered green tea-leaves - but unlike regular green tea, these leaves have been kept in the shade towards the end of their growth cycle to increase the level of chlorophyll and nutrients. And matcha is packed with them! It's super high in antioxidents, and contains high levels of caffeine for a tea (though, about half the level of caffeine you get from coffee per cup) but this is balance with l- theanine which has a calming and clarifying effect on the brain. Over all, it's a power house of beneficial botanicals that's said to great for your immune system, heart, metabolism and much more. We shall see! But so far, the Year of the Fire Horse is off to a brilliant start. The Divine Feminine current is needed to balance the systems of the world and societies that are strongly aligned with Yang/Masculine energies. When the Divine Feminine current is deficient and there's a lack of balance, healing and creative arts are often diminished - people become so focused on acquisition, consumption, action and organisation that they lose touch with their spirituality, connection to the Universe and inner peace. This year, I'll be releasing some affirmation meditations for you to use on my podcast to help you tune into those high frequencies and maintain your alignment with your highest potential. These affirmations can be used to enhance your spiritual practices, rituals and energy healing sessions. Aligning your consciousness with high frequency intentions can shift your energetic resonance, allowing you to manifest positive changes within and around you. As you listen to these affirmations, try to relax your mind, bringing your focus to your inner light - your spiritual centre that is eternally connected to your divine source. These affirmations are intended to help you to establish and reinforce your awareness of your true light and highest potential. You may repeat these affirmations after me - aloud or silently in your mind - or simply rest your body and mind for a time, and be receptive to these words. Listening early in the morning can set you up for a positive and prosperous day...and listening at night can help you to wind down for sleep while programming your mind with positive intentions. This week I'm focusing on LOVE ENERGY! Me and Spider are celebrating our 10th Valentine's Day together so we'll be making it special. I have some gifts picked out and because it falls on a Saturday this year, we'll be making it a weekend of celebration! But love energy isn't only about romance and soul-mate connections - it's also about healing, self-acceptance and taking care of yourself. So regardless of your relationship status, you can make this Valentine's Day something special. We are all made of energy - and our souls are made of the higher frequencies of light energy, while our physical bodies resonate at lower vibrations. Higher and lower in this case are not indications of "good" or "bad" - experiencing the full range of frequencies is essential for our well- being and healing. We can only connect fully with the highest frequencies of light if we maintain our grounding. Looking after your physical body with healthy food, regular exercise and enough sleep is vital for successful spiritual growth! Those habits that nurture and nourish the body are very grounding and help you naturally maintain your balance while you connect with higher light frequencies for healing and spiritual awakening; and the highest frequencies of energy we can connect with are those that inspire and express love. Love is the power that moves the Universe; the Universe itself is love in action; and you are part of that love. When you are able to feel that soul- level connection - even just in moments of appreciating the beauty of nature, a shared smile with a pet, or the closeness of a romantic partner - you are in alignment with the Universe and with your highest spiritual potential. This Valentine's Day, take the time to look for expressions of love in your life - they don't have to be obvious or theatrical - those quiet moments of spiritual communion are just as soul- nourishing as the times the Universe sweeps you off your feet with spiritual ecstasy during rituals! Tune into those energies and allow yourself to fall in love with the Universe! I hope you're feeling settled into the groove of 2026, and feeling more grounded and settled now the festivities are fading in the rear-view mirror. Here at Mayastar I've been busy - working my magick and some tailored rituals for my clients, and setting up attunements for those drawn to connect with new frequencies for healing and happiness. Instead of "new year, new me" - "new year, new energy" is my motto! If you're feeling the grind of winter, connecting with solar energies during your healing practice can be a good way to uplift your spirits and warm your energy field! XXX With blessings, Maya XXX 20th January 2026...The new year is proving to be a turning point for a lot of people - especially around this new moon. I've heard from so many people about massive positive changes manifesting out of the blue - new job opportunities, health improvements and abundance. There are days in each week that resonate best with different spells and workings; there are points in each month when the lunar influences support different kinds of magick; and there are portals of energy that coincide with different points in the solar year, that we can tap into to empower our own lives. This time of year, we're still in "new beginnings" energy - so the new moon amplifies that. The light of the sun is waxing - already beginning its journey to it's maximum potency at the Solstice. All of these energies affect us on some level - even if we're not conscious of them. It's that sense that "something's in the air" that inspires us! There are many things I'll be working on in 2026...creating new music...channelling new energies...developing new rituals to serve my clients...but in my personal life, this year, I really want to focus on creativity. If you've been following my social media, you'll have seen some of the new edits I've made of some of the photographs that were taken of me in that past - by Charles Joseph and Maniac. I'm planning to do new shoots this year at some stage...I've got some ideas of how I might do this - and I'm planning to create them around the tarot archetypes. Revisiting and re-editing those older images is helping me to consider the art I'm looking to create later on. It can feel a bit self- indulgent messing around with images of yourself...but at the same time, it's a great opportunity to experiment and try out some different styles. Also in 2026, I'm ensuring that I dedicate as much time as possible to soul-nourishing and creative work. As such, I've been changing the daily social media posts and from next month, I will only be publishing the daily energy update reading post, creating space for sharing more art and photography. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year - and hope you've returned to the world feeling rested and renewed. If you haven't, don't worry - there are plenty of powerful healing techniques that you can use to help you find your groove again! We're a week away from the New Moon but I'm already preparing for my own Bringing Moon Soul Retrieval 30-Day Ritual Intensive. I try to work the Lunar rituals for myself at least once a year - and this month, I'll be working the Bringing Moon Cycle for myself. It's essentially a deep-healing intensive - it's a way of restoring your energy and calling back your power. It can be a great maintenance ritual - ensuring your energetic integrity. But how do we lose our energy? Well, there are many ways - some very serious like trauma - where we can lose fragments of our soul-energy - we unconsciously separate from parts of ourselves in some cases. We might not realise we've done that - and often it happens because at the time of the event or experience, we don't know how to deal with it - so we blank it out on an energetic level. The thing is, that blanking takes some energy - it takes some maintenance. We may have evolved beyond the situation completely, but never reintegrated the energy we invested in our attempt to protect ourselves. Other times, it's more subtle - perhaps you work in a highly competitive environment, or you work with the sick - it could even be that your home situation is unbalanced. If there is a lot of conflict in your home, you are likely to put up some resistance and blocks in an attempt to protect your energy; if you are working with the sick or in a competitive environment, you may do the same thing - using your precious soul energy to keep your emotions and sense of self protected. These are all things we do naturally. And most of the time, when a negative situation has passed, our energy returns to us and we process those experiences. But sometimes we don't do that effectively. If our energy remains tied up in that way, over the years we can start to feel the absence of it. We might literally feel like something is missing - and it is! On an energetic level, we're missing a portion of our vital essence. Our experience might be subtle - but by working with energy healing systems or with a healing ritual like the Bringing Moon Soul Retrieval 30- Day Ritual Intensive - we can restore the balance, and progress our path to wholeness. The closer we are to that state of spiritual equilibrium, the easier and more meaningful life becomes. Spiritual awakening doesn't stop you experiencing problems! They will still come...and go...but by working on your energetic healing and spiritual ascension, you create and consolidate your default state. If you are able to respond to stressors and challenges by acknowledging them and experiencing the emotions around them without losing touch with yourself, that's a powerful achievement! That's what we're aiming for on an energetic level! My cycle has already been entered into the Temple Diary. This means the working has effectively started for me - ahead of the New Moon. My familiar spirits work on the preliminaries once the work has been officially scheduled - they lay the energetic groundwork for the ritual before the ritual even begins! This means that once the opening ceremony takes place, the spell can really hit the ground running. And those New Moon energies amplify this working - but this coming New Moon, is the first in the New Year - it's the first New Moon since the Solstice - and it takes place on a Sunday, harnessing the power of the planetary ruler, the Sun. These influences create a convergence of energies that support this kind of working. They amplify the effects of this kind of ritual. It promises to be a powerful start to the New Year. I can already feel the energetic shifts - an uplifting and inspiring start to the year! I like to go with the flow & switch it up intuitively - and I was called to the Crystal Rose Attunement during my pre-sleep yoga. It's a very warming energy - but also very soothing; excellent for helping me wind down to sleep when I've had too much chocolate (and ginger beer) during the day! I also discovered that wearing socks in bed can help you to get more deep sleep...I'm trying that out! So far, I definitely seem to dream more but I can't tell if I'm sleeping deeper. Grounding Your Stress…

Welcome back to the blog! It's that time of year when a lot of my magickal work is concentrated - spells and rituals focused on clearing energy or reversing negative karmic attachments are more powerful with the current celestial tides. But it's also a time when people are going through a bit of extra stress - good stress (or "excitement") can also take a toll on us and make grounding more challenging. Navigating the extra Christmassy things we need to do - write all the cards, buy all the presents, wrap them, put up the tree, organise family visits and so on - a lot of extra demands on our time and energy that can make us feel quite worn out and destabilised. This time of year, carving out a bit of time each day to focus on your spiritual practice can be essential self-care. Focus on grounding energies if you're feeling a bit frazzled and overwrought: Earth Energy Boost (Ascension Gateway Upgrade), Centre of Stillness Activation, Dark Moon Mother Protection and Goddess Diana's Mirror Shield Activation - all good techniques to help you maintain your equilibrium during periods of stress or high activity.
